Co-op 101 is Co-op Dayton’s introductory workshop on the cooperative business model. This interactive session covers the fundamentals of co-ops, what they are, how they work, and why they matter for building community wealth and economic democracy. Participants learn about the seven cooperative principles, explore real-life examples (including our own Gem City Market), and discuss how co-ops can be a tool for solving local challenges. Whether you’re a community member, entrepreneur, or simply curious about cooperatives, Co-op 101 provides the foundation to understand and get involved in the co-op movement.
