Whether you're exploring an idea with your team or just curious about cooperative models, this session offers real examples, practical tools, and space for honest questions. You'll walk away with clarity, inspiration, and your first steps toward building something together.

Fifth Street Brewpub Gives Back

Please join us for an evening of food, drinks, and raffles at Fifth Street Brewpub on Thursday, November 6th, from 5:30-8:30pm. Fifth Street will donate 10% of sales and 100% of raffle proceeds to our work. Co-op Dayton supports and funds community and worker-led cooperatives to transform our neighborhoods and ensure wealth generated in our community stays in our community. This event is cooperation in action—Fifth Street Brewpub is itself a cooperative, so you'll be supporting one local co-op while investing in the creation of future co-ops! We can't wait to see you there!

Co-Own: A Community Business Lab

Co-Own is a 6-week training program to help launch and grow cooperative and community-rooted businesses in Dayton. We’ll work together to build the structure, tools, and culture that your group needs to share leadership, make decisions together, and operate sustainably.

This program is designed for teams, but we also welcome solo founders who are building toward shared ownership. Whether you’re running a small business with collaborators or just getting started with a powerful idea, Co-Own can help you move forward.

We especially encourage applications from Black-led, women-led, and community-centered businesses that are building to meet urgent economic, cultural, and social needs in Dayton’s neighborhoods.

🗓️ Deadline to Apply: September 18th, 2025
🧑🏾‍🤝‍🧑🏽 Program Dates: Thursdays, October 16th - November 20th at 6-8PM (virtual)
⏳ Time Commitment: ~2–3 hours/week (includes workshops + time with your group)
 💵 Follow-on support will be available after completing all 6 sessions, based on the stage and needs of your team.
